CHALLENGE 4424 OF PROCURE
VERY SIMPLE, BUT BRUTALLY HARD. A CHALLENGE FOR CYCLISTS WHO WANT TO OUTDO THEMSELVES.
Mount Everest is the highest mountain on Earth, located in the Mahalangur Himalayan sub-chain of the Himalayas with an altitude of 8,848m, which means 4,424m is half of the altitude of Mount Everest.
The 4424 Challenge consists of a 4,424m bike ascent in less than 12 hours, driven by one purpose: fight against prostate cancer. Get inspired by the courage of the 12 Quebecers diagnosed with prostate cancer every day and try to exceed your limits!
In Montreal, the ascent of Mount Camillien-Houde represents a difference in altitude of 119m, so you will have to make 37 ascents of the Camillien-Houde in order to climb half of Mount Everest. We warned you, the challenge is simple, but brutally hard.
When is it?
On September 12, 19 and 26 in Montreal, Camillien-Houde.
Who will be there?
A maximum of 20 cyclists will be able to register and take up the challenge to climb 4,424m in 12 hours. The challenge has been adapted to take into account, as much as possible, the uncertainties associated with gatherings in these unprecedented times. For this first edition, you will be able to take up the challenge alone or with two cyclists in order to alternate your climbs.
The fundraising goal is $ 4,424 per cyclist.
